FAQ's
When’s the best time to take senior pictures?
It really depends on how you want to use your images! Some seniors prefer to have their session early—spring or summer before senior year—especially if they need photos for yearbooks, announcements, or want to use them throughout the year. Others wait for fall for the cooler weather and autumn colors.
That said, I do not recommend waiting until the last minute—early planning helps avoid a rush, and you’ll have more date options to choose from!
What time of day is best for a session?
Early evening or morning is ideal. The lighting is soft and flattering. As a bonus, it’s usually cooler than midday.
Can family or friends come along?
Yes! I’m happy for you to bring a friend or two—it can make the experience more fun and relaxed. Just keep in mind that large groups can become distracting.
What happens if it rains?
We keep a close eye on the forecast and always have a backup plan. You’ll never be left wondering — we’ll stay in touch and make sure everything flows smoothly, so you can stay focused on enjoying the experience.
Do you retouch photos?
Yes! Every image you select is professionally edited. I’ll remove temporary blemishes (like breakouts or small scratches), but permanent features like scars stay unless you ask me to edit them out. My rule: If it’ll be gone in two weeks, I’ll remove it. Let me know if you have specific requests!
Do I get the digital files, or do I have to buy prints separately?
The images included in your package come as high-resolution digital files, along with a print release. That means you’re free to print and share them for personal use—like yearbooks, announcements, and social media. I do retain the copyright as the photographer, so the images can’t be sold or altered without permission.
If you’d like, you can also order professional-quality prints and products directly from your gallery for a beautifully finished result.
